Abstract:How individuals face their old age is a subject worthy of study. The first aspect that needs proper handling is the interpersonal relationships during the elderly stage of life. It is essential to adhere to the important principles of "emphasizing the good, suppressing the bad" and "maintaining distance." Secondly, the elderly should strive to maintain a positive way of life. They should make full use of the "vibrant aging" stage when their physical health is generally good, and their thoughts and spirits are in a normal state to engage in activities they wish to pursue. As individuals enter the stage of physical and mental disability, they may find themselves in a state of "loss of control," which is a topic worth studying – how to face this state. If life-threatening illnesses strike in old age, the most crucial aspect may be to strive for a dignified completion of life's final journey. Facing the inevitable outcome of life, one should calmly prepare for the "self" after death.
